Jennifer Cleversey

Jennifer began her dance training at the Dartmouth Dance Academy in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia at age four. She studied ballet, tap and jazz under the direction of Jacqueline Moriarty and Mary Turnbull.  She is a winner of the school’s “Triple ‘A’ Award” in recognition of her commitment to Ballet attendance, attire and attitude. In 1989, Jennifer was one of the Dartmouth Dance Academy dancers chosen to perform on stage with Bob McGrath and Sesame Street.

Completing Canadian Dance Teachers Association examinations in Ballet, Tap and Jazz, Jennifer always worked hard to advance her technique and training.  Having obtained her Senior Level Bronze Medal in Jazz in 1989 and her Senior Level Silver Medal in Tap in 1990, she decided to focus on the dance style she loved the most – Ballet.  She began her pointe training in 1990 and in 1995 she was awarded her Grade IV Senior level in Ballet.

After High School, Jennifer continued to dance and teach while she attended Dalhousie University from 1996 – 2003, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Law degree and a Masters in Business Administration.  Upon her move to Bathurst, New Brunswick she began teaching ballet for Carol DeGrace in 2005. In 2009 Jennifer joined the BoGeste family as their Ballet Director. Jennifer offers classes in soft-toe and hard-toe (Pointe) Ballet.  Jennifer is also a lawyer in the area and serves on the BoGeste Board of Directors.
